This was a transition year that required consolidating my life into a flow that was on rails. Most of the study at this time wasn't about getting better on a technical level, but increasing my awareness of the past and how it tied to right now. I liked to observe public spaces, even digital ones. All of this was in hopes of understanding them better. Understanding public spaces helps you understand the time you're living in. This was critcial as I started developing new types of general-purpose technologies.
