Fighting Through Bad Leadership
You'll have to fight through a lot of unfair misinformation about yourself if you're doing something different and looking to defy any type of group dynamic where there is already an established leader that doesn't approve of your methods. Well, guess what? That leader wants you to change course by making you the center of their insecurities. They want you to fold from the pressures they create. It makes them feel powerful.
Don't let this happen — you'll regret it. Just continue forward and ignore them, unless you're forced into a showdown. If you're in a showdown, you'll have to learn how to prepare for battle and win without fighting. This is more of an art than a science, but when you start winning more without ever having to fight, you'll see what I mean.
Lastly, if the pressure is getting too intense, this is a reminder to you: Everyone that's ever done anything worth doing at all has had to deal with the feeling of being an outsider. An outcast. Unwanted. Unworthy of the leader's praise.
It's not always going to be okay, but it is to be expected. What defines your character is continuing on in the face of this pressure. Your character can't be stripped away by someone's words about you. Your character can only be defined by your actions.
